Organic FAQs
Does a healthy diet really play a role in clear
skin?
Yes, eating a well balanced diet will, in some cases, drastically help
skin problems. The reason is, acidic foods inhibit the digestive track
which allows toxins to accumulate often leading to skin problems.
Acidic forming foods include cheese, white bread, and fried foods, where
alkaline food include fruits and vegetables as well as nuts. Altering
your diet to be filled with more alkaline food will help clear your
body from the inside out.
I live in a dry climate and never feel like my skin is fully
moisturized, what can I do?
Living in an area that has dry air is very hard on your skin. Because
you live in an area with little or no moisture in the air, you may need
to consider a more concentrated lotion. Many of these moisturizers may
seem like they don’t rub in, but finding a cream that will saturate
your skin over a period of time will help give your skin the moisture
in needs throughout the day. Also, if need be, apply lotion or cream
liberally several times a day to ensure your skin receives enough moisture.
I don’t enjoy the taste of water, but have heard that
it is a vital element in achieving clear skin, is this true?
Water is extremely important for the body in general. It helps flush
your system of harmful toxins it may have accumulated as well as clearing
your skin of damaging elements. For you, drinking the recommended eight
glasses of water a day may be difficult because you don’t like
the taste, but it is still necessary. There are several products available
that can be added to water to help improve its taste. While pure water
is ideal if you can’t seem to stomach it then try drinking unsweetened
natural herbal tea as a substitute, just make sure that you are drinking
a minimum of eight glasses daily.
